Basic Search - Interactive Graphs (Premium Content) - Phase Diagram Viewer Productivity Tool:

Example:

A development engineer, working in the semi-conductor industry for a company that produces Silicon wafers, needs to estimate ratios between solid and liquid phases in a two-phase mixture of Silicon and Germanium (Si and Ge).

- Search field: Si Ge

- Click on the title link for Landolt-Bornstein to see the results.

- Click on the Table (4) link for the first section.

- The engineer can now view the phase diagrams of different property relationships that Si and Ge will display.

- Click on the Graph Digitizer icon for row 2647 to see the interactive phase diagram.

- The engineer can now use the Lever Rule feature to fix a red horizontal line at the desired temperature.

- Set the lower and upper levels of the Si content by clicking at the desired percentages left and right on the horizontal red line. By clicking between the two settings, the data can automatically be calculated.
